Life lessons: Tuesdays with Morrie

I've read novels of 200 hundred somethings pages already, and I always close it with new learnings. And usually I would remember two or more lessons. But this novel, that I started reading 2 years ago and finished just a minute ago, is not ordinary for a starter like me. Every chapter has life lessonSSS (Yes, mind the "S"). This book summed up all the lessons that Mitch learned from Morrie. And If I could make a book review containing insipirational lines, lessons, thoughts, and amazing stories, then I might end up publishing another book.

Below are things that struck me along the way. I wanted to post this not to add my number of blogs but to keep my self reminded of the good values and teachings.

Descriptive Autobiography

I’m not a bombastic person but let me boast the great person I know for almost a decade and a half. This girl I know is a person with deep thoughts. She is like a sandwich, the taste comes from inside but it goes with the outside. She’s the third child of a practical yet sweet father and a supportive, young-hearted, loving mother. She has personalities that make me pause and wonder. I know her for a long time and she never failed amusing me.

The Escapade

April 12, 2010 – I woke up at 7.30am, although my eyes want to rest my body wants to get up because lots of preparations must be done. Time can’t let me skip my breakfast and relaxing shower. So I didn’t feel the time pressure, and thanks to you Leandro for not giving me pressure.

At 8.15am I finished my breakfast and shower. I texted Tay to get the money from Ate Ellen, and we went to Seebok’s store to buy five 1.5 drinks.

Rumbled happenings happened

At 7.30am I received a group message from Cee saying, we should wear our complete uniform to get our credentials. And I really believed on her, so I told Ate Hazel to prepare my shoes. At 8am Papa went to his office already, so I wasn’t able to see him. After my shower, I called his office and talked to him about the payments. And he said, he doesn’t have the money yet so we’ll have to pay tomorrow. I got mad, and texted Cee that I can’t get my credential today. And I asked her if I can get my credential without wearing my uniform, and she replied a laughing smiley. And I realized she was just joking about the complete uniform! Ooh G! Why so gullible?. Thank you Papa for not having the money yet!

When gray turns pink

March 31, 2010 - Tears and sadness are expected this day. It's just so hard to say goodbye. We'll miss Maima. :| But to get over with the fact, we tried to make some fun.

9am – Gloiza, my Ferb, beeped me if what time I’ll go to the Grandtours. I replied that I won’t be able to say bye personally to Jemaima. But she insisted, in a way. So I have to have a rush shower since Maima will be leaving at 10am. And I finished my shower at 9.15am.

First Blog in Blogger

Tuesday, March 30, 2010 - Actually I am going to enter Blogger when I already have a fine camera but for some reasons I'm going to start blogging NOW. Well, I can deactivate the account if I won't enjoy in here. But I find blogging powerful, because it strengthens your personality, your grammar, and self-esteem. I know it because I blog in Multiply. There's fun in Multiply but I just want to try being in here. *hahaha, I was inspired by Ms. Bianca Gonzales.
